An End to Cabin Fever

For us New England-ers, cabin fever is finally ending and the spring sun is finally giving us a break to get outdoors. With warm sun shining through the windows, we know summer is right around the corner and heading back to the gym is a must as we prepare for a summer of endless days at the ocean! Here is a sneak-peek as to what you'll be seeing as the temperatures rise and our layers diminish.

A Polished Look

It's hard for me to leave the house without nail polish on, I feel naked like I forgot my pants or something.. Here are some of my favorite colors and styles. Some are easily DIY, others might need some professional touching up! Personally, I like shorter nails better because they look more natural and are much easier to function with (plus they don't look tacky!)

What a Stud!

Ever since I've spotted different textures and fabrics being added to simple peices of clothing, I knew I wanted to partake! By adding cut-outs or creating a fuller silouette, designers have been actively trying to add dimension to make their clothes stand out. Although these changes can certainly be left to the professionals, I decided that adding a different texture to demin shorts can actually be really easy.

All you need are metal brads (I used a round silver type) and a sharp metal stick to poke a hole through the demin. Both can be found a Michael's Craft store.

What's important here is to not go crazy with the metal studs, you want to look trendy not like you're about to jump on your Harley.
